WHAT'S IT LIKE TO WORK AT BRIGHTBEAM

What's it like to work at Brightbeam? Here are the exact contents of an email sent by CEO Brian Hanly earlier this week:
Hi All,
We had an important conversation in our management call this morning that I want to share with everyone.
We're growing fast, and that's exciting. But growth means nothing if we burn out the people making it happen. So I want to be direct about something: no delivery timeline, no customer demand, is more important than your wellbeing.
A simple shared prioritisation framework that I think is worth adopting:
1. Self-care – your health, your rest, your life outside work
2. Project and team commitments – the work you've already committed to
3. Company needs – everything else
In that order.
If you're overwhelmed, say so. If you need to push back on a new request because your plate is full, that's not just acceptable, it's the right thing to do.
Talk to your manager, talk to whomever you feel is best, of course feel free talk to me directly.
We're building something we're proud of here, but not at any cost. The goal is sustainable excellence, not heroic sprints that leave people exhausted.
Look after yourselves first. The work will follow.
Many thanks all,
Brian
